| | | ID assistance please Could anybody assist me with identifying this fungus? Was below Oak, on clay soil and about 4 inches high, surrounded by a lot of leaf litter/dead wood. Sorry I dont have much more information than that. As i didn't pick it i cannot give a description of gills. Did not have any veil evident. Thank you |

| | | Re: ID assistance please A very variable Amanita this one, and equally as common! Amanita rubescens is what you have here and the blushing on the gnawed section of the stipe is what gives it its common name!
