| | | Fungal bracket in Oak Hello all
This was high up in the crown of a English Oak (ignore the Norway Maple leaves in the background). Any ideas what it is?
Many thanks

| | | Re: Fungal bracket in Oak Hello Chazz,
I initially thought P.squamosus, but the upper surface looks quite a dark brown and the underside looks rather nicotine yellow.
Maybe this is just an old bracket or the tanins in the oak causing a pigment change.
Best regards
