| | | Three fungi for ID please Found these at Sevenoaks today, all growing on an old moss covered tree stump...
1. 2. 3.
Best I can come up with for number 1 is an immature Mycena galopus var. candida. The cap is only about 4 or 5 millimetres.
For number 2 I'm tentatively goiung with Mycena galopus again, the ordinary one. This one's cap was about 1 centimetre across and the stipe was 8 to 10 centimetres tall.
Number 3 has got me beat.
Any ideas?

Dave
No1 if the colour is right (and with your skill I am assuming they are) a yellowish stipe which is slightly pruinose can only be M epipterygia.
No 2 If it has sub/decurrent gills M pearsoniana if it has a darker lamella edge M rosella
No 3 M leptocephala can have this pruinose/hairy stipe but the gills don't look grey enough so I would go with M amicta. It should have a peelable skin on the cap and may have blue at the base of the stipe. The blue round the edge in Nick's photo is an exception rather than the rule.

| | | Re: Three fungi for ID please Many thanks Mal (and Nick).
The colour should be good for number 1. The caps were very white which makes setting the white balance so much easier.
As usual I didn't collect any samples or take the right views so I'll nip back in my lunch break tomorrow and, if they're still thee, I'll check the gills for number 2. And the cap and stibe base for number 3 as well.
Thanks again for your help!
