Help with ID please.

These were growing on a pine cone which was 4cm long and 2.5 cm high. The colony is 3 cm long and 2 cm high and each egg like structure is about the size of a pin head.The pine cone was in mixed woodland mostly pine and birch. It was the only one I found.Any help would be appreciated.

This is one of the slime molds and could well be Leocarpus fragilis.
