| | | shaggy parasol? i will try and get pics up tomorow.
can any one tell me whether it has been a particularly good year for these?
just been walking through a local copse and these seem to be in great adundance.some i have measured in excess of 11 inches across.and in rings 12-15ft across.
pretty sure they are shaggy parasol,hollow stem,bulbous base,white spores,etc |

| | | Re: shaggy parasol? they do change colour when cut,to an orangey brown.they are smooth on the stipe,no snakelike markings.
there must be 4/5 rings of these in my local copse, one particular ring is where the 11inch one came some, the entire ring will probably mature to this sort of size.they are quite an amazing site.
any tips of downloading pics of a phone would be grateful. |

| | | Re: shaggy parasol? You need to post them in the Image Library, Unidentified Fungi section.
This topic explains fully how to do this: http://www.wildaboutbritain.co.uk/fo...otos-info.html
Then just click on the box underneath the picture that says something about thumbnails, copy what's there and paste it into your post.
Your photo is unlikely to be approved for the Gallery without full identification details given in the correct format (again, see the very helpful thread above for details).
Hope this helps.
