| | | Cyathus olla showing Funicular cord Hello all
Peter (Ditola) kindly showed us some Cyathus Olla last weekend but unfortunately it was very dry on the day.
4 Days later and after a good downpour of rain the fruit bodies are looking quite good.
I've always fancied getting an image of the Funicular cord and today I was lucky enough to capture two Peridioles with the cord attached. Not the best of images but it clearly shows the cord

I'm hoping to capture some better images in the lab (kitchen ) on a sample brought home.

| | | Re: Cyathus olla showing Funicular cord It would be nice to learn what a funicular cord is and what purpose it serves from WAB though. |
