| | | Are these toadstools poisonous? We have two young children and this summer a large number of toadstools have started growing in our lawn. Are these poisonous? They make an awful mess when I mow the lawn - how do I get rid of them? See attached photo. They are a darkish red colour with a beige underside which goes black as soon as it is touched. The larger ones are about 4cm across, but there are loads of tiny ones as well. |

They would be very difficult to get rid of and you may not want to, as they are associated with your nearby trees, too which they pass essential nutrients. If you have any other types growing on your lawn that you may be concerned about, don't hesitate to post.

| | | Re: Are these toadstools poisonous? Thanks. The trees are at the far end of the garden so would be interested to know how the toadstools pass on nutrients. There are none growing near the trees, just these on the other side of the garden and in full sun. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
