Nick - I think you are correct!
Struggled with the noordeloos key, but having used the Kibby Key, it keys out pretty emphatically to L.Scabrum.
Keys C-H-L-M relate to macro features, so no problem.
The next step had options for Q, R, or S.
Not having a microscope I was struggling here, so I tried looking at the final "Key Codes" for all three options.
Luckily there were only two possibles: - C-H-L-M-Q, or C-H-L-M-R
C-H-L-M-R would have keyed it to
L.rigidipes, which is most unlikely. (Wet heathland habitat associated with Birch - Mine was in the middle of a mainly Beech/Oak area of woodland).
So that left only C-H-L-M-Q, giving final options for
L.scabrum, or
L,nucatum.
Of the factors for those two options, my specimen had the attributes of option 1, which left
L.scabrum as the final keyed out species.
