Found in the New Forest this evening. Didn't have me camera & it would have been too dark anyway. Pics don't come out too well under artificial light.
cap 5.5cm
stem 65 x 8mm
no ring
slight voval remains at base of stem
smell not distinctive
Found under Oak with Birch & Pine about.
I was thinking A. ceciliae but stem not thick enough.   |

Hello,
were the squamules on the cap and along the stem base greyish or nougat brown? The colour doesnt comes to well in the foto ....

Hi Andreas.
The squamules on the cap are grey. On the stem they are more brown. |

Hello,
then it is Amanita ceciliae, not much doubt.
If they were brown on the cap, then one had to take the very rare Amanita beckeri into account. I found this one in two places the last days.
