Two for ID Help PLease.

Found these today in coniferous woodland, mainly Larix.

No.1 - Largest cap approx. 100mm across, Tallest stipe approx. 170mm.
Didn't seem to be attached to anything other than leaf debris.
No particular smell, hollow stipes. Possibly Collybia?

No.2 - Caps approx. 120mm across. Stipes approx. 125mm tall.
Again didn't appear to be attached to anything other than leaf debris.
No particular smell, stipes on these not hollow at all.
Were growing only 5m away from No.1

Any thoughts on ID's much appreciated.

I am not sure but these might be the same Collybia maculata.

Yes, I'd agree. All Collybia maculata.

I half suspected C.maculata for No.1
But the only examples I had previously found were much more "robust" looking, and more typical of the photos to be found in general fieldguides.

I must admit to being surprised that No.2 is also within the band of variability for C.maculata. The colouration and stuffed stipe had me thinking that this was definitely (though still probably within Collybia genera) another species.

Good to know for future reference, that such variation is the norm.
