| | | Re: Slippery Jack suillus luteus Suillus luteus tends to have a more membranous ring and a paler stem. I'd go with Andy's suggestion of Suillus grevillei here.
For future reference, it helps to press a finger onto the pore surface and see if it changes colour on bruising. The pores of S. grevillei turn rusty brown. (Also helps to note which trees are present because most keys rely on this ... unless of course there are both pines and larches close by!).
