I know every day I seem to have one I can't name. found just the two of these growing in leaf litter in mixed woodland. are they young ie not fully developed common earthballs? regards tn.

I think that there is a spiny puffball (Lycoperdon echinatum) though. I have a very similar picture that I remembered here in this guide.
