Yellow fungus on acorn cup

Hello all

Les and I found this fungus growing on acorn cups at Treswell Woods 21st August 2010.

My first thoughts were of Bisporella citrina but the stalks seem very long for this species.

I think it's almost certainly Hymenoscyphus fructigenus

and get your *ss back into Yorkshire for your foraying!

(do you fancy meeting up for an ASW mini-foray in the near future?)

I had a walk through ASW last night, and its teeming with fungi. We are thinking of a foray there this Saturday.

My *ss is called a FungaLow. Perfect for low level fungi macro

A mini foray sounds good Chris. Just name a day really
