Hi all - had a good foray today near Market Rasen, Lincs.
For the first time I have got some lovely pics of the fungi in their natural habitat which I will share with you all later. For now could anyone please confirm / help me with identifying the few I bought home???
Rich
1. Growing under oak and beech - cap 2-5cm, stem 3-6cm, lots of bright white latex when damaged, smells of vegetable oil / wax - Lactarius quietus?
2. Growing under oak, beech and birch in a cluster of 5 or 6, cap 12cm ochre and turns up at the edge, stem 15cm cream but turns brown with bruising, smells very mushroomy - no idea where to even start with this one!!!
3. Small bolete growing under beech and oak, cap 4cm dark brown, yellow tubes, stem yellow/orange, flesh yellow greying slightly when damaged - Boletus badius?
4. Under pine, loads of them. Not much to describe that pis doesn't show - false chanterelle (Hygrophoropsi aurantiaca) ?
Any help would be appreciated :-)
