Unidentified Bolete
Not found by me but...





Found on chalk under beech in arge numbers.
Cap 5-20cm.
Turning blue/green within 30 seconds when cut.

My feeling is possible Boletus santanas but I am not sure.

I think you could be right - never seen it myself, so a little envious, am quite a long way from calcareous souls here!

did it have a distinctive smell?
