is this bolete mould please

Hi found this today I think it is the early stages of bolete mould hypomyces chrysopermus. I have seen quite a bit recently but all has been old ie bright yellow and the host bolete has been soft and mangy. am i correct for once?? regards tn

yes, you are

interestingly this fungus also parasitises Paxillus involutus - a little pointer to the fact that the latter is a bolete in diguise
