the bigger they get, the less interest I can arouse? give me fungi you can't see any day 
the top one is a Pluteus (pink spores free gills) could be a pale salicinus - others may know better
as for the Russula - I don't do them - there are so many that look like this, it really is a tricky genus - I'm not convinced that even the experts understand it - there's supposed to be a monograph coming out in Germany soon - but I have enough to look at

I think your 1st Russula is Russula grisea (Oak or Beech), the second is most likely R. gracillima or R. exalbicans ( Birch).
