Unkown leathery brown bracket on ash?
Hi all, found this twice this week, both on ashwood (wounds) I have no idea, so putting it up there see what the collective feel about this bizzare fruit!

MMmm....

Ive iether scaired them all off replying or they havent a clue iether?

interesting little bracket this one, no takers?

found it only three times in 15 years of forays, have found lots of red data ones so can I summerise that this is VERY obscure?

Any hints, clues or suggestions would be very gratefully recieved
