| |  Chanterelle bliss
Hi all, was walking in local woods this morning and found lots of Chanterelles. I picked just a few as many were just beginning to appear. I think its going to be a fruitful season!   |

Nice find, and I am extremely jealous! While the woods of Weardale this summer abound in chanterelles of the false variety, I have yet to find my first real one here, this year or any other.

Hi Nick, if it helps I found them in an open beech wood. Good luck on your quest! If you are ever in Surrey I'd be happy to point you in the right direction but if your like me half the thrill is discovering them for yourself. Keep the faith!

Ok, i'm the one who is jealous now! In fact when it comes to eating i much prefer Ceps to Chanterelles. Happy hunting.

Besides, as much as I like Chanterelles, I also like massive, maggot-free Ceps from my Norfolk patches
