| | | Hygrophoropsis aurantiaca? At first I thought these were Hygrocybe nivalis but the gills are all wrong so I wondered whether they might be the pale version of Hygrophoropsis aurantiaca? I can't seem to persuade it to produce a spore print on black paper (unless the spores are black of course but seems unlikely given the gill colour).
They were growing in a very exposed location at the top of a cliff with lots of rabbit activity all around so the grass and thrift was cropped very close.
Grateful for any help.

| | | Re: Hygrophoropsis aurantiaca? Hello,
I don't believe in Hygrophoropsis aurantiaca. I rather think it is a Clitocybe, but have no name for it.
best regards,
Andreas

Thanks for the tip
