| | | Unknown Marasmius – Marasmiellus species Hello all
Found at Sherwood Forest 1st August 2010 growing on rotten leaves in an area with Oak, Beech and Birch present.
Marasmius – Marasmiellus species!!
Any help or comments before it goes to Kew are much appreciated.

hmmm, not much information you give us on these
Only judging from the foto: Why isn't it just Marasmiellus ramealis?
best regards,
Andreas

Andreas | Hi Andreas
The stems I thought ruled out Marasmiellus ramealis.
Hopefully I can update with some microscopic details.

| | | Re: Unknown Marasmius – Marasmiellus species Just a thought after further attempts keying out, has anyone experience of Marasmius querophilus, which grows on Oak leaves?
John
The mostly dark-brown polished, hair-like stipe rules this out too
