Found these today: -
No.1 - I think this is Willow Shield -
Pluteus salicinus.
Growing on a rotting fallen trunk (Probably
Fagus).
Cap sizes approx 50mm across, Stipes similar in length.
Gills mostly white, but showing pale pink areas.
No.2 - I think this is Lion Shield -
Pluteus leoninus.
Growing on very rotten trunk and surrounding debris.
Wasn't showing any "greenish" tints, so I didn't think it would be
P.chrysophaeus.
Colours varied from very striking bright yellow, to pale yellow with whitish margin.
Gills almost white. (look yellow here but it is the cap colour showing through).
Total number of single fruitbodies at this location 14.
Cap sizes to approx. 45mm across, stipe heights to approx. 60-70mm.
ID confirmation/other much appreciated.
