| | | Need ID on this mushroom in my garden. Can anyone help me identify this mushroom? Found it in my garden a few weeks ago and I would like to know what type of mushroom this is.

(you might get your legs slapped for using external images ) see: http://www.wildaboutbritain.co.uk/ho...-upload-images
it's an inkcap (formerly they were all placed in the genus Coprinus - but that's now been split) how big was it?
cheers
Chris

| | | Re: Need ID on this mushroom in my garden. Sorry about the external images, I uploaded them to imagehost.org because I couldn't figure out how to use the uploader on this site... Thanks for the answer, but after googling the ink cap I could not find anything similar in order to gain more information about it. The closest thing I could find similar to the one in my garden is the Coprinopsis atramentaria, Coprinopsis atramentaria - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia , but the information on wikipedia does not match... Such as the ovate hymenium. It was around 15 centimeters in height. Do you know the exact name of the mushroom and where I can find more information on it?
Thanks in advance. |
