| | | Are these dryad's saddles ? Could somebody confirm these are dryad's saddles.They were all around a large tree trunk,some around 25cm .Also is such an abundance on one tree common ?.
I have some better photo's of the whole trunk but they need shrinking in file size.there must have been 20 or more and all over 15cm.They were in a large mixed woodland but i could not see any other fungi ,although i was only glancing as i walked along.Are there any other fungi often associated where dryads saddles are present.i will be looking more closely next time.

| | | Re: Are these dryad's saddles ? These seem to be popping out nice and fresh just now! Found these in a Cotswold woodland (15th July) - with the rain having collected in the tops it reminded me of one of those water features with several dishes or bowls one above the other!
That's all we saw today though but until the last couple of days it has been so dry here....
