| | | Bisporella citrina with long stems Hello all
Les and I found this at Anston Stones Wood 21st May 2010. Host possibly dead ash and the image showing an area no greater than 15mm.
My original thoughts were of Bisporella citrina but the stems did seem a little too long!
Sadly we lost the sample whilst being preoccupied with various rusts … I blame Chris for this
Any comments, as always much appreciated

There are a few yellow Hymenoscyphus that look similar.

Peter | These were my second thoughts Peter. It was the host which confused matters.

John | why is that John? several Hymenoscyphus spp. occur on dead wood; one thing is certain - that ain't no Bisporella!
cheers
Chris
PS - and I refuse to be held responsible for people dropping things!

John
PS OK, it was Les who dropped it or one of his dogs who ate it | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
