I think the first two are weatherbeaten Laetiporus sulphureus (Chicken of the woods)
The second is Kretzschmaria deusta and the last two are Pleurotus ostreatus.

| | | Re: A few for ID the last image appears to show anastomosing gills running down a distinct stipe - I'd go for Pleurotus cornucopiae
Chris
PS - what happened to your images of Exidia glandulosa

| | | Re: A few for ID I just looked at the darker colour and opted for P ostreatus but looking closer at the stipe (as I should have done the first time ) I think you are right Chris.

| | | Re: A few for ID Thanks for the replies. I didnt think the first two pics were Laetiporus sulphureus because they were only a few centimetres across, the first pic shows a specimen of about 2cm across, and I have found lots of Laetiporus sulphureus over the last week or so and none of it, even some old stuff resembled these specimens? And I thought there may be two different species in the second pic? The last pics I thought were oyster mushrooms but isn't it too early in the year? Chris my exidia pics were removed as they were external images whoops!

As Mal suggested the first two are very old and weathered Laetiporus sulphureus. The reduced size is the result of weathering.
New fruiting bodies of Laetiporus sulphureus will also be very small when they first start. The same species but at a different growth stage would best describe them.
Pleurotus can be found throughout the year but is more common during the autumn period due to more favourable growing conditions.
Why not upload your Exidia images to WAB
To help with ID it may help in future uploads to increase the size of your images to say 880 pixels width by 600 pixels in height.

| | | Re: A few for ID Hi John due to the fact I am a bit thick when it comes to computers it took me hours to get the pics on here then get them into my post! I may add the exidia images when I have the time. I reduced the size of my images as I was having trouble with uploading them due to the size. I shall add larger pics in future. Thanks for the replies I just wouldnt have thought that the specimens in the photo Laetiporus sulphureus but what do I know lol |

| | | Re: A few for ID I have just been back to have another look at the fungi that I couldn't ID and am sure they are not Laetiporus sulphureus. They have pores on their underside. I have some new pics here but my camera has died. I will post them as soon as I can. I am sure its not Laetiporus sulphureus as I showed the fungi to a friend who has a lot of experience but he couldn't ID them as they were rather dry dry but he assured me they were not Laetiporus sulphureus. Any ideas people? I will post some more pics as soon as I can. |

So does Laetiporus but they do seem small. What was the texture like, was it brittle or tough?
