Seemed to appear suddenly  | Hello and welcome to the WAB. I think you have an Entoloma there, possibly Entoloma clypeatum, is there any Hawthorn nearby? The pinkish coloured gills showing in your pic are helpful and well done for thinking of turning one of them up to show the gills.

| | | Re: Can anyone ID this fungus I am a little nervous about it being a version of amillaria (Honey Fungus) as the old conifer tree stumps are still there and it has spread into the lawn several feet I'll be relieved if it isn't and its a nice fungus just disposing of spare organics. |

no worries - it's no Armillaria; I would agree with Andy O about it being a spring Entoloma
