| | | A couple of recent ones for id i haven't really seen much fungi recently, but lately i've come across these ones. has anyone got any pointers please
Growing on a pile of manure, only one specimen, this is the only shot
These ones were in woodchips on the boundary of a field, they look quite old, but who knows?

the top one is Panaeolus semiovatus ("semi-ovatus" - like half an egg geddit )
the lower one I think is Agrocybe praecox - the cracking of the cap and generally rather sparse veil are characteristic, as is its fruiting at this time of year
cheers
Chris

| | | Re: A couple of recent ones for id Hello,
the lower one is a Psathyrella, as the gills are too dark for Agrocybe. The stipe is very briddle as one can imagine from the foto and the way the veil hangs on the cap margine is also typical for Psathyrella (e.g. candolleana). Lastely there is no sign of a ring on any stipe, so this would contrdict Agrocybe praecox too. It looks a bit like Psathyrella candolleana, but the gills are not crowded enough for me to be certain.
best regards,
Andreas
