hi guys been doing foraging for about a year and its gone from a bit of fun, to a hobbie to almost an obsession.
i really want to get better and undeerstand more about the wonder of mushrooms. i have a few books, and get out as much as poss.

went out with like minded friends recently to hut down the elusive morel. was well prepared with books, stick and aload of paitiance, but just felt we were doing something wrong...CAN ANYONE HELP with tips or where you though we were going wrong!!!

Hi and welcome to WAB.
I have been "having a bit of fun" with fungi for probably 20 years(or more) and have made some great finds. I have also been looking for Morels seriously for the last few years and I have never found one (except once in France when I was there golfing). So loads of patience will be needed and that still might not be enough to guarantee success. If you are serious about finding just this one fungi read your books search the threads on here and good luck, you will need it. If you do find some don't post it here unless you really want to depress me

Ps don't even think of asking others where they find there's, you will have a much better chance finding your own than getting someone to divulge their known sites
