Question Tree fungus ID please?
I found these on a loppped log in mixed woodland at Craig - Y-Nos, Country Park, S.Wales yesterday. the largest 'cluster' was just over 2" in length. Can anyone ID it please?

it's Trametes versicolor (Coriolus versicolor in older books)

see: Wild About Britain though that page needs a couple of minor tweaks of the scientific name

I don't generally care for English names for fungi, but Turkey Tail does seem quite appropriate here . . .

Thanks Chris. It was the bluey colours which threw me because turkey tails near my home are more of a brown/ yellow/sometimes - greeny appearance.
