I've seen references to the fungal records at Kew, and of people submitting samples, records and such. So after a search on the old t'interweb I have this that I hope is of benefit to other readers  as we hopefully approach a good fruitful year. Plants & Fungi from Kew

| | | Re: Kew Things have changed somewhat in recent years and whilst not trying to flog the message of joining a group, probably some 90% of fungal diagnostics are done these days within county groups. The level of diagnostic skills, speaking for our own member groups, has increased dramatically over the last decade. Here at Harveys we deal with much of the other 10% of more difficult material, not least because the Association has the necessary mycological reference sources. I can't actually remember the last time we had recourse to send material to Kew, and as most people know the problem has been, and I believe still is, resting with severe restraints on the staffing budget up there. |
