| | Bracket fungus ID plse? These were in mixed woodland owned and maintained by the Forestry Commission in Penllergaer, S.Wales- last Sat Feb 13th
The first was on a lopped log, the second on a tree stump

Not easy to answer your query, (for me anyway). Brackets are very variable and without more detail, such as a close up of the specimen (especially the pores) and type of substrate (in this case, the tree species), few people on here will be prepared to guess. Sorry

Thanks, I knew it would be difficult in the absence of such detail. I honestly can't remember which trees they were on, but what I have done is a bit of photo editing in the hope that a larger image might help
