Fomes morphing toward photosynthesising

Here's what I believe to be Fomes fomentarius.
The host Tree (Quercus cerris) is decked up with mature brackets, last shot.

These immature forming brackets are on dead branches that have fallen off the same tree.

Check out the leaf imprints, I peeled off the foliage to reveal their patern.

Really like how the flesh has protruded upwards upon contact with the leaves, third shot.
