How sure are you ?
Have you placed it under the microscope to make sure it is not the identical Sarcoscypha austriaca - the true Scarlet Elfcup. ?

Quite right Neil.
Otherwise impossible I suspect, though I tend to use austriaca, its probably more accurate to do as Mike, Lancashire Lad, does and use Sarcoscypha spp when naming photos.
