| | Fungus or mould ID please My apologies if I've done this wrong but this my first posting.
I found this on a tree stump today and thought at first it was breadcrumbs but am I correct in thinking it's some kind of fungus?
Thanks in advance and much embarrassed if it is breadcrumbs |

Welcome to WAB!
It doesnt look like a fungus to me, more like a chinese new year meal chucked away (up?)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But I could be wrong.
Cheers

| | Re: Fungus or mould ID please Lol! I kind of knew it but thanks for the welcome
Incidentally it's in an area of woodland well away from anything like that so quite possibly one of the many nature lovers like myself had put something there for the birds
Cheers! |

| | | Re: Fungus or mould ID please Hi eiona,
A big welcome to you from WAB, I think this is just broken bread put out for the birds, possibly Warburtons thick slice toasting bread and only just out of date by the look of it.
Neil.
EDIT. I've been trying to identify the bakers yeast, but I give up.

Don't worry about it. I have made a few gaffs myself.
