Bjerkandera adusta ?

on a dead birch, growing in the deep fissures of the bark, tough and hard to the touch,
i had this as Bjerkandera adusta, but the colouring seems different to most of the pics i can find in my books and on the web,
i cannot find anything else it could be, so is it just B.adusta after all ?

I would agree with your first ident of B adusta.

thanks for the confirmation, i suppose that , like lots of others they vary in colour and appearance, and not being a species i have found before i was not sure if that was what i had found,

so thats another one i should be able ti id a bit easier in the future,
