| | | ascobolus sambuccensis? (made up name) I have found little donkey brown cups growing on an old elder. They are one and a half inches across at the largest and they all hang downwards. They have lovely little branching veins on the outside that stand out like the veins on the back of your hand. They are soft and pliable. Can anyone give a definite ID? |

sounds like Auricularia aricula-judae (Jelly ear). One finds it typically on elder.
