hello fungi folk
went for a walk around colwick park in nottingham today, where there is always an array of fungi growing on the large chopped logs they have placed around the lakes.
found a couple which had me
'stumped
the first is one which i was quite excited about, following discussions of the species on the boards on a few occasions in the past, as i think it was
Schizophyllum commune. i haven't got any experience with this species, but thought the 'jizz' was right. failing that i suppose it could be
Crepidotus of some sort.
the second is more difficult, as it has been photographed
REALLY badly, as i was playing with my new raynox macro attatchment, and only had that or my zoom lens, i only took pics with the raynox, and didnt realy think about posting it here, so didnt get any interesting features. the only thing i can say is it had purple on it. thats why i found it interesting. sorry about the photo, but any ideas????
