| | | Lentinellus confirmation please Another one found late Nov last year, growing in leaf litter. The only possibility I`ve come across is Lentinellus cochleatus. Can anyone confirm this? and are there any other members of this family?
Cheers

Any chance this could be Lepista flaccida?

| | | Re: Lentinellus confirmation please I think Lentinellus is a good suggestion, give it a good wiff, it should smell of aniseed.

| | | Re: Lentinellus confirmation please Also Lentinellus cochleatus is usually found growing on wood (tree stumps), & Lepista flaccida on leaf litter/soil.

Nick. | I don`t think so Nick the fruiting body is distinctly caespitose. There may well have been stump or roots under the litter. Its too late to carry out any further checks but armed with the knowledge I will be ready next time.
Many thanks Nick and Neil
