hello!
just wondering if anyone can ID from this photo, took it earlier this week, but i wasn't able to get close as it was on a tree across a very boggy bit of woodland, so i couldnt get any other features. there was a lot of Flammulina velutipes growing round about and thought it could be a mature specimen of this? don't know whether they mature this way.

I think you are right with your identification. Although you cannot see clearly the stipe looks dark and could well be "furry".

If anything, you are too close !

Despite not many features showing, the 'jizz' say's F.vulutipes.

yeah, the depth of field is out, i managed to get that close cos i had my zoom lens with me.

Looks very similar to species I also thought was F.velutipes. Hope this helps

Yes, these are F.velutipes, but very old.
