| | | Flammulina Velutipes? Found these while out walking today. Nothing else about, but I saw these on a fallen tree which I couldnt identify due to it being covered in moss. They were frozen solid and one even had an icicle hanging from it. I think they are flammulina Velutipes but as I am new to this I cannot be certain. Perhaps others can confirm? Happy new year
Yes these are Flammulina Velutipes. There are not many lager toadstools that survive being frozen. The shinny orangey caps and dark velvety stems are very distinctive.
