Alex | Happy Xmas Alex.
Don't forget, the fungi season is not fully over yet (if ever), I walked over the heaths at RSPB Minsmere and Dunwich this morning and counted about 20 species, but that doesn't compare with c200 red deer a fellow lone walker counted nearby, although I did manage to see about 50, plus a female marsh harrier.
All the best to you too for 2010.

| | | Re: Merry Christmas and a Merry Christmas from me too Alex ... and to everyone!
We had a WAB New Years day foray this year where I found well over 60 species in my local patch. I'm not sure I want to do it again next new years day, but it was 'different'

Santa brought me the Oxford Precision x10 LED hand lens for Christmas. Need to go out tomorrow and find some tiny fungi to try it out!

| | | Re: Merry Christmas Bless her, my mum gave me her old Dame Alice latin dictionary. Just as well i gave her a book written by a fellow wabber (i think) in exchange.
no worries neil, i've been quiet for the last few weeks due to 70 and 80 hour work stints, boo to that. out for a few hours tomorrow through the blean to see whats is about, next year will be my busiest ever for foraying (i'm hot on the trail for Cordyceps militaris after seeing mikes stunning examples earlier in the year) + i am lucky enough to be marrying my lovely lady, she has even agreed to let me name the tables by myco genus. She is a keeper for sure.

| | | Re: Merry Christmas A somewhat belated Merry Christmas from me too. - (Too many things getting in the way of Wabbing recently ).
To all the Fungi forum contributors who have helped me immeasurably over the past twelve months, and to every Wabber, I wish you all the best for the coming new year, and long may your wildlife wishes be fulfilled.
Best regards to one and all,
Mike. |
