| | | Unknown on grass & litter Sherwood Pines 20 December 2009
Found, during a snowy foray with FungiJohn, under a fallen conifer trunk and covering grass and litter. At first glance it does appears to have pores, but it doesn't look like a polypore.
Your guidance appreciated.
Les

If you listen to your note taker it’s probably recorded as Phlegm terrier …. You know what I’m like when it comes to pronouncing Latin names in the field

| | | Re: Unknown on grass & litter How odd that it is fruiting on pine needles and grass... I think P. tremellosa prefers actual wood substrate, especially hardwoods. Weird to see it on conifer needles!
The wrinkly pores are quite distinctive. Nice find. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
