Can anyone help with this?
I'm not even sure if this would count as a species of fungi.
This was in patches all over a fallen tree, sorry but I don't know what kind of tree it was.

Your specimen looks more purple, so may be different?

Peter | That my just be the lighting as from what I can remember it was colourless.
