| | | parasol Ive got hold of a copy of collins Mushroom photo book and started having crack at Iding some of the mushrooms I've photographed
The photo probably down't show the nessacary features but it looks like a parasol to me. Am i even close? |

close yes, but not exact.
The not gridled stipe suggest that it is Macrolepiota rhacodes - the Shaggy Parasol. But probably one of its close varieties, Macrolepiota rhacodes var. bohemica or var. hortensis - or may be even var. venenata. They are today in the genus Chlorophyllum.
