Little fungi id?

Can someone id this please?

I've no idea what wood the log is, it's in Devon if that's any help.

My hunch would be Mycena inclinata, but it could equally be M.galericulata, polygramma, or even galopus which occasionally can be found on dead wood.

Hi Freefeet

You have found a Mycena (definitely) galericulata (probably). They are one of a few Mycenas that grow on trees, both living and dead and the best macro identification feature is that the gills are whitish often pink with age and show ridges between the gills (anastomosing).

Hopefully i'll be up there again this week (it's at my archery range) weather permitting, so i'll have a look and see.

Went back yesterday and they'd gone - can only think that the skwerls have eaten them.

Next time i want to id a shroom i'll know to take a photo of the gills as well while i have the chance.
