Slimemould ID - any ideas?

Found this rather interesting thing growing on an old fallen branch of (I think) Ash. I think it might be some kind of slimemould. The yellow interiors are masses of yellow slightly angular spores roughly 10microns across (microscope camera software playing up so will post a photo of them when I manage to get it sorted out).

Any suggestions of a genus to start looking up would be much appreciated. I've got copies of Ing and of Stephenson & Stemple but need a helping hand in getting to an appropriate starting point - they could do with some decent photographs! If you happen to know the species then even better.

The little bollard at the bottom is I think a very young Tubaria species - only because there were others of intermediate stages to full maturity on the same branch

Try one of the Trichia sp varia or favoginea possibly.

Hi Rob,
could well be Metatrichia floriformis if dark and damp - the 'flowers' as in floriformis spring out from the little buds you have shot.
