Probably more likely to be P. tuberaster though- sort of a miniature P. squamosus |

This clump was growing on a different tree.
My local woods are quite good for a number of different fungi  .

Richmond, North Yorkshire, roadside planting. dead log, large front specimen nearly 400mm across, smaller ones at rear 60 to 130mm across - I collected these for closer "study"!
