I tried looking in the Gallery, but the only photo of this one didnt have the 'forks' if you know what I mean, so I thought I must be wrong. I also looked it up in the a-z but it is not listed under the common name of stags horn which is the only common name I knew.  Now if only I knew scientific names..........hmmmm

Thank you for the I.D. | Stags Horn is more likely to be referenced under the Latin name Calocera viscosa whereas Xylaria hypoxylon is usually referred to commonly as Candlesnuff |
