Well methinks I may have found it this time instead of misidentifying old specimens of Schizopora paradoxa

. This was on Quercus, and I'm hoping it's Dichomitus campestris which I have been after for ages!

It's got the cushion type shape and the ring around the specimen. Pleaaase tell me it is, i'll be chuffed!

I was surprised to find, upon looking at the FRDBI, that Quercus seems to be it's preferred host, I have only seen it twice on Corylus.

Furthermore I see 'Phillips' still has it as only occurring in Scotland, whilst in 'Jordan', he is spot on.
